Kadaba, Nov 16: A somber incident unfolded as Somashekhara (34), a resident of Renjala in Sirigrama, misplaced his life whereas bathing within the Gundya rivulet at Barchinahalla close to Gundya.

On Tuesday, Somashekhara, accompanied by family from Madikeri who had been visiting for Deepavali, ventured to the rivulet together with his spouse, brother, and three daughters. Tragedy struck as Somashekhara was swept away by the sturdy present whereas they had been all bathing. Regardless of his cries for assist, others had been unable to rescue him as a result of swift water circulate. His lifeless physique was found on Wednesday.

A case has been registered on the Uppinangady police station.
