The adamant stand taken by an Air India pilot to not permit a pet canine to board a flight has led to the holiday plans of a Bengaluru household going haywire.
The household of HR skilled Sachin Shenoy, his spouse Uma and daughter Aarya was to depart for New Delhi by 5.20 pm on an Air India flight on Saturday. They’d an 18-month-old pet canine with them and have been in fixed contact with the airline officers on the presence of the pet canine.
Sachin in a social media submit mentioned, “I used to be advised that Air India was a pet-friendly airline and that I might take it in cabin with me and I booked by them.”
The pet was issued a ‘Match to Fly’ certificates and the health was okayed by an airline staffer and never a vet. The pet ‘Fluffy’ was additionally given a boarding go.
Sachin mentioned, “Once we have been ready at Gate No. 17 of Bengaluru airport for boarding, the employees there advised us that we might board the flight and go away the pet behind.”
He mentioned the airline employees advised him that the commander of the flight was not okay with the pet being on board and refused permission.
Sachin additionally took a video of the matter and posted it on social media.

Air India responded by its Twitter deal with and mentioned, “The commander of the flight was not absolutely happy with the cage and the muzzle of the pet, which is why he couldn’t permit it to be carried within the cabin. Our laid down coverage for the carriage of pets on home flights clearly mentions that. Pet carriage is topic to the approval of the commander of the flight.” IANS
