Three days after a humpback dolphin’s carcass washed up at Cuffe parade, two extra dolphin carcasses had been present in Mumbai, on Thursday.
The carcasses of two ocean humpback dolphins, 4-ft and 5-ft in size, washed ashore at Reti-bunder in Mahim and Haji Ali respectively on Thursday morning. “The reason for the demise can be cleared after the post-mortem,” stated an official from the Mangrove Basis.
Dolphins are endangered aquatic mammals, protected beneath Schedule I of the Wildlife Safety Act, 1972. Within the latest previous, dolphin sightings have elevated alongside the town’s shoreline.
