Lok Sabha proceedings had been adjourned for the second time on Tuesday until 2 pm amid protests by Opposition members over the rising gas costs.

When the Home reconvened at 12 midday, numerous papers and reviews had been laid whereas the protests continued.

A number of Congress members had been within the Effectively, demanding a rollback of the gas worth hikes. DMK members had been seen standing at their seats whereas Trinamool Congress (TMC) members didn’t protest.

Because the protests continued, Bharatiya Janata Celebration (BJP) member Meenakshi Lekhi, who was within the Chair, adjourned the proceedings until 2 pm.

Earlier, Speaker Om Birla had adjourned the Home until 12 midday following protests over the rising gas costs.

Through the Query Hour, Opposition members, primarily from the Congress, entered the Effectively and began elevating slogans.
