NAMSAI, 19 Feb: The primary-ever ‘nationwide youth journey & trekking’ camp of New Delhi-based Affiliation of Indian Universities (AIU) was organised by the Arunachal College of Research (AUS) right here from 15-18 February.
The inaugural programme featured a dialogue on the significance of the occasion, throughout which Namdapha Nationwide Park & Tiger Reserve (NNPTR) Analysis Officer Tajum Yomcha offered a short on the biodiversity of the nationwide park, whereas NNPTR senior herpetologist Ashok Captain apprised the individuals of the snakes in India, and NNPTR discipline biologist Mayur Waria shared details about the strategies and procedures adopted for understanding the inhabitants of tigers and numerous animals inhabiting the nationwide park.
On 16 February, the group trekked from Deban Camp to Haldibari within the NNPTR. The AIU crew participated in actions resembling elephant rides and rafting on the Noa-Dehing river, moreover witnessing numerous species of wildlife.
On 17 February, the scholars have been taken on a visit to the park for bird-watching. The crew later visited the AUS, and the Golden Pagoda close to Namsai.
On 18 February, essay writing (English and Hindi), portray, cartooning, and images competitions have been held.
